Enceladus is a drug development company, which started as a spin-off from Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Enceladus is product-oriented and aims at finding innovative combinations of existing drugs and drug carrier systems. With this approach it can effectively design new pharmaceuticals for which clinical development is relatively straightforward.
In NANOMED, Enceladus will give their input with regard to optimal formulation strategies and requirements for efficient in vivo carrier systems. They are able to benchmark novel nanoparticles against established liposome carriers. Enceladus will play a role in the training program for the NANOMED PhD students focusing on drug development and translation aspects.
